Team India Players Return To Hotel Before Play Gets Called Off As Rain Plays Hide & Seek In Kanpur | WATCH
India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test: Before play was called off for the day, Team India players returned to their hotel as drizzle played hide and seek in Kanpur.
Test cricket returned to Kanpur after three years with the city hosting the India vs Bangladesh second Test match at the iconic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. However, rain played a spoilsport on both Day 1 and Day 2, leaving not only fans but even the players frustrated. While there was a bit of a delayed start on the opening day of the second Test due to overnight rain and a wet outfield and then rain returned to force early stumps, play was not possible at all on Day 2 which was called off without a ball bowled.
Even Team India players were left frustrated and returned to their hotel even before the day was called off as rain continued to play hide and seek in Kanpur. A video of the players leaving the stadium for their hotel surfaced on social media with the clip goingly viral on the internet.

Bangladesh 107/3 After 35 Overs In First Innings
So far only 35 overs have been bowled in the match, all of them on Day 1. India won the toss and elected to bowl first, for the first time in a home Test match since 2015. Akash Deep then removed both the Bangladesh openers before Lunch. Play did resume for the post lunch session on the opening day of the Test match with Ravichandran Ashwin finding the back of Najmul Hossain Shanto.

Play was halted due to bad light at first on Day 1 before a heavy spell of shower forced the umpires to call Stumps on the opening day of the IND vs BAN 2nd Test. Not a single ball has been bowled since then wuth Bangladesh's score stuck at 107/3.
