The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Men's T20I Team Of The Year 2023 on Monday (January 22) with India's Suryakumar Yadav named as the captain. While Jaiswal was chosen as the opener along with England's Phil Salt, West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran came into bat at number 3. Suryakumar was slotted to bat at number 4 in this side with New Zealand's Mark Chapman getting the responsibility to bat at number 6. Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza was drafted in the late middle-order followed by all-rounders Uganda's Alpesh Ramjani and Ireland's Mark Adair. Bishnoi, Zimbabwe's Richard Ngarava and Arshdeep were the frontline bowling options which completed the Playing 11.

He made several healthy contributions in between before an 83 off 44 which stood out against West Indies in Providence.
