Stuart Broad Lauds This Pakistani Bowler, Calls Him One Of His Favourites In The World

Broad joined the commentary panel for the Hundred and he has been doing a brilliant job with the microphone, enlightening the fans with his words of wisdom.

England’s legendary pacer Stuart Broad announced his retirement from international cricket after taking part in the fifth Ashes Test at the Kennington Oval in London. Just after saying goodbye to the game, Broad joined the commentary panel for the Hundred and he has been doing a brilliant job with the microphone, enlightening the fans with his words of wisdom.

The right-arm legendary pacer admitted that he is a huge fan of Pakistan left-arm speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi. Broad said that Shaheen is one of his favorite bowlers.

“Shaheen Shah Afridi is one of my favourite bowlers to watch in the world. He has got such a great presence about him when he runs in, and I love bowlers run in with energy and vibrancy to their run-up,” Broad was quoted as saying to Sky Sports.

“He has got such a natural skill – the way that ball swings back into the right-handers is such a pleasure to watch. And he represented the Notts Outlaws this summer, which is close to my heart. He’s one of the bowlers I admire hugely, and I want to see him do well," he added.

Shaheen Afridi is currently playing for Welsh Fire in the ongoing The Hundred and has again made headlines by delivering some toe-crushing yorkers.

Pakistan-based speedster started well in the Hundred by picking up two wickets off his first two balls in the game against Manchester Originals in the second game of the eight-team tournament. The 23-year-old came with another memorable outing against Southern Brave where he finished with figures of 1/16 in the 20 balls he bowled. Shaheen’s next project for Pakistan is Asia Cup which starts on August 30 with Babar Azam's men taking on debutants Nepal.
