Sreesanth's wife writes open letter to BCCI seeking justice for her husband

Sreesanth's wife Bhuvneshwari has written a heartfelt open letter stating how a false accusation can ruin a person's life

While former Indian speedster S Sreesanth has made several revelations about his cricketing career on the national television, his wife Bhuvneshwari has written an open letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to seek their ‘support’ to get him ‘justice’.

Bhuvneshwari, in the letter, wrote that Sreesanth was delivering the over with complete passion and had a towel just to wipe his hands off like any other cricketer. He conceded 13 runs off that over because not because someone asked him to in return of money but it was a class batsman, Adam Gilchrist, batting against him.

She took to her Twitter account (unverified) to share the copy of the letter. Her post read, “Heart to Heart message for #SreeFam. A False accusation can ruin a person’s life. @sreesanth36”.

Here's the post:

Following his alleged role in the IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal, Sreesanth has been banned for life by the BCCI. A Patiala House Court later in July 2015 let off the three cricketers. In 2017, a single-judge bench lifted the life-ban imposed on Sreesanth by the BCCI and also set aside all proceedings against him initiated by the board. Sreesanth's life ban was reinstated by a division bench of the Kerala High Court earlier this year after BCCI appealed against the one-judge bench verdict.

Sreesanth is currently a contestant in Colors TV’s reality show Big Boss where he revealed that revealed that he thought of committing suicide after the controversy broke out in 2013. He said that he was accused of spot-fixing for a sum of Rs 10 lakh.
