The news of Sarfaraz becoming a father comes amidst the ongoing India vs New Zealand three-match Test series. Sarfaraz Khan Has Been Enjoying An Impressive Run With Bat
Sarfaraz has been prolific in his form with the bat. He became the first batter to score a double-century for Mumbai in Irani Cup as he scored an unbeaten 222-run knock off just 286 balls. Helped Mumbai post a mammoth first-innings score of 537, which ultimately helped them win the Irani Cup 2024 trophy.
Sarfaraz continued his impressive form as he notched up his maiden century for Team India in the recently-concluded IND vs NZ Test in Bengaluru. After India's dismal first-innings performance, where they got all-out for 46 and Sarfaraz got out for a duck, the 26-year-old helped India wipe out the deficit in the second innings by scoring a 150. However, India lost the match and went 0-1 in the series.
India will now lock horns with New Zealand for the second Test of the series in Pune, from October 24 onwards.
