Sacked BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke accussed of sabotaging England series
New Delhi: After ex bcci president Anurag thakur, bcci ex secretary Ajay Shirke is in the dock for allegedly trying to sabotage the India England odi and t20 series.
Shirke made several calls to ecb chief Giles Clarke and expressed concern over England players security, allowances and tour schedule apart from citing. State associations funds crunch for the series to go on.
About news has the emails in his possession that Giles Clarke wrote to bcci CEO Rahul Johri after his conversation with Shirke, where he mentioned his apprehensions on the series.
It may be recollected that all ex bcci office bearers met in Bangalore recently and reviewed their strategy and decided to show their non cooperation to the new set of court appointed administrators.
Similar concerns were so allayed during the fourth and fifth test against England and ecb was paying from its pocket since funds were not released by the SC approved lodha committee. It was subsequently released but Shirke made that mention and also cited that things could be difficult.
Despite several attempts Shirke couldn't be contacted for his reaction.
The lodha panel which met yesterday decided to show the emails to SC and press charges against Shirke as well.
The panel also approved the New selection committee with msk Prasad, sarandeep and debang Gandhi for the time being, removing Gaga Khoda and Jatin Paranjpe.
