India Kick T20 World Cup 2024 Campaign Off With Comprehensive Win

Coming to the IND vs IRE T20 World Cup 2024 match, India won the toss and chose to bowl first. On a pitch that offered much assistance to the bowlers, India bowlers made full use of it and did not let any Irish batter settle. Hardik Pandya picked up three wickets with Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah claiming two wickets each. Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel took one wicket each.

Chasing the total, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli opened the batting for India. Trying to take the ultra-aggressive way, Kohli lost his wicket early, losing his wicket after scoring just one run. However, Rohit and Rishabh Pant made sure they gave nothing else to the Irish bowlers and stitched up a good partnership. India lost another batter in Suryakumar Yadav who came to the crease after Rohit’s departure from the field before Rishabh Pant reverse-lapped Barry McCarthy for a six to hit the winning runs.
