Pujara feels Dhoni knows best what would be the right time for him to bid adieu from cricket

Amid speculations rife on Dhoni's retirement, Indian cricketer Pujara said that Mahi himself was the best person to decide when to bid farewell to the game

Virat Kohli-led Indian team's campaign at the ICC World Cup 2019 came to a heart breaking end after they were stunned by losing finalist New Zealand in the ICC World Cup semi-finals at Old Trafford in Manchester.

One of the biggest boiling points which has hogged the limelight among die-hard fans and all cricketing fraternity in general is discussion over Mahendra Singh Dhoni's future in Indian cricket.

After the experienced right handed batsman drew a lot of flak for being slow in getting off the blocks while batting for India in the recently concluded ICC World Cup, there have been rumours spreading like fire over 'Mahi' calling it a day from international cricket post the show piece event.

Addressing a Sports conclave in New Delhi, Indian test cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara was posed a question on what did he think on Dhoni's retirement.

Pujara responded with a witty and well thought out reply, saying that Dhoni was experienced enough to take a call on when he would deem it fit to bid farewell from the game.

Pujara added that he was comparatively a younger player than the experienced Dhoni and learnt a lot of the nuances of the sport from him, hence would not be right for him to comment on Dhoni's retirement.

After their World Cup campaign, India set sail to the Caribbean for a month-long tour of the West Indies. India is scheduled to play 3 T20s, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests against the Windies, with the first ODI  set to be played on August 3.
