Notably, the Indian men's cricket team etched history after they beat their South African counterpart in a thrilling final at Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday (June 29) to end their world title drought of 11 years.
While Modi was at the stadium in Ahmedabad when India succumbed to a heart-breaking defeat in the ODI World Cup final to Australia in November last year and later paid a visit to the dressing room and gave a speech of encouragement, it is now being reported that the Prime Minister will be meeting the victorious team-led by the same captain and coach.
