Here's What Pat Cummins Said During Post-Match Presentation Ceremony
"Yeah that's right. What an amazing Test match to be honest. This is the best Test match I have been part of. Ridiculous crowd all week and the cricket has been good as well. Pretty happy change room. Yeah Marnus helped me out in that second innings big time. Well I honestly don't know how much I can contribute with the bat but this Test was a good one for me as I scored some valuable runs."
"You always have to think that anything can happen. I thought we bowled really well in the first session and took the victory out of their equation. They batted really well in the afternoon session but you never really quite know what can happen in the evening session. We were just one breakthrough away and that wicket of Rishabh Pant change the game for us."
"We were always going for the win to be honest. Once we felt like there was plenty of runs to play with, we had as many helmets as we could around the batter. We talk about a lot on our lower order. We work really hard in the nets and we want to get a few more runs with the bat as a group."
"I would give the credit to the coach regarding that and honestly, it was also about the over rate. I just thought maybe give Head the ball and what if he gets the breakthrough for us."
"(On Steve Smith) Ah, I mean amazing. It was not an easy wicket to bat on. He obviously showed how to bat on these wickets. He took some unbelievable catches which goes unnoticed sometimes but yeah, just brilliant."
Yeah I desperately want to win this series. I feel we missed out at the Gabba but really happy with the performance in this game. Happy change room and we will take the positives to SCG."
