Handful of fans welcomed Pakistan players at the Lahore Airport after they returned from the United States of America (USA) following a disappointing performance in T20 World Cup 2024/
A bunch of Pakistan players returned to their country after the team's poor performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 as they made an early exit from the competition. The Men in Green succumbed to a shock defeat against the United States of America (USA) in their first match of the competition before a loss to India made their qualification scenario even tougher.
With the match between co-hosts USA and Ireland getting washed out, Pakistan's exit from the group-stage of the competition was confirmed with USA getting to five points, thanks also to a win against Canada in their opening match of the T20 World Cup.
The shocking result of a team which had reached the finals of the 2022 edition of the tournament has irked fans and well-wishers of Pakistani cricket. It was no surprise that only a handful of fans were there to welcome Pakistan players like Naseem Shah and Usman Khan at the Lahore Airport.

Other Players Avoid Return To Pakistan
Meanwhile, it is being learnt that the rest of the players have decided to remain in America for a few more days and will be returning individually or in smaller groups to avoid much public attention. The incident comes after Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf got involved in a controversy as he almost beat up a fan who apparentlty abused his wife while he was walking leisurely in Florida.
