Video: CM Yogi's Speech In Japanese Surprises Delegation From Japan. This Is What He Said

The Uttar Pradesh government signed an MoU with Yamanashi Prefecture (Japan) for industrial cooperation, tourism and vocational education in the presence.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath surprised a delegation from Japan when he spoke in Japanese for nearly two minutes during an official meeting. CM Adityanath was giving opening remarks while meeting the Governor of Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture, Kotaro Nagasaki, at his official residence in Lucknow.

"Hearty welcome to the Honorable Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture of Japan, Mr. Kotaro Nagasaki ji and the entire team in the holy land of Lord Gautam Buddha, Uttar Pradesh. Namaste! From Bodhisen to Swami Vivekananda, India and Japan have a long and rich history of cultural relations. Mahatma Gandhi's precious personal possessions also include small statues of the three wise monkeys (Mizaru, Kikazaru, Iwazaru). You must be familiar with these three," he said in Japanese.

The Uttar Pradesh government signed an MoU with Yamanashi Prefecture (Japan) for industrial cooperation, tourism and vocational education in the presence. Adityanath, who described UP as a state of "unlimited potential", said the MoU is a result of the prime minister's commitment to work together with the Quad countries for humanity on the basis of shared democratic values.

Currently, more than 1,400 Japanese companies operate in India. Seven major firms, such as Mitsui Technologies, Honda Motors, Yamaha Motors, Denso, Toyodrunk, Nissin ABC Logistics, and Sekisui DLJM Molding, operate in Uttar Pradesh.

CM Adityanath said economic co-operation between India and Japan is very rich and bilateral trade between the two countries has been USD 22.854 billion in the financial year 2023-24.

Uttar Pradesh Getting New Identity As 'Expressway State': Yogi

Adityanath told the Japanese delegation that Uttar Pradesh is getting a new identity as an 'expressway state'.

After the construction of the Ganga Expressway, Uttar Pradesh will have 55 per cent share in the total expressways of the country. At present, five expressways of a total length of 1,130 km are operational, he said.
