PAK vs IRE Highlights, T20 World Cup 2024: Pakistan beat Ireland by 3 wickets in their last league-stage match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida. The Babar Azam-led side who had already been knocked out of the race to the Super 8s, first restricted Ireland to 106 before chasing down the total in 18.5 overs.
The Asian side's win was set up by Shaheen Shah Afridi's 3/22 and Mohammad Amir's 2/11 off their 4-overs spells respectively. Imad Wasim was also sensational with the ball, returning with figures of 3 for 8 off his 4 overs.

With the bat, Pakistan were reduced to 62/6 at one stage with Barry McCarthy (3/15 off his 4 overs), Curtis Campher (2/24 off his 4 overs)-led bowling attack giving Pakistan a run for their money but the partnership between Babar Azam (32* off 34) and Abbas Afridi (17 off 21) got them close to the finish line before Babar and Shaheen (13* off 5) got the team over the line.

Pakistan Finish With 4 Points In Group A
The victory means Pakistan finish with 4 points in Group A but they were already out of the race of the T20 World Cup Super Eights with USA having reached 5 points after their washed out match against Ireland. Pakistan's shocking defeat to co-hosts USA came back to haunt them and spoil their qualification equation for the subsequent round of the tournament.

They were also in a winning position against India but made a mockery of the run chase to go from 72/2 in 12 overs to 113/7 in 20 overs, chasing 120 to win. The defeats mean they were not in contention even before this match started.
