New Zealand are coming off a rough end to their white-ball campaign as they were humiliated in the ODI series, which they won though, as Bangladesh had bundled them out for meagre 98 in the third One-Day International played at the McLean Park in Napier. Bnagladesh went on to win the match comfortably with 9 wickets in hand. Not only the ODI series, but the Black Caps added more salt on their wounds as they narrowly managed to level the T20I series 1-1.
Bangladesh won the first T20I at the very same venue they won the third ODI as they saw off a dismal New Zealand by 5 wickets and with the second T20I abandoned due to rain, the Kiwis were on the verge of a series defeat at the hands of Bangladesh at home. The third T20I saw New Zealand won on the D/L method and prevailed and avoided a home-series defeat embarresment.
Pakistan will be coming from Australia after finishing their three-match Test series which they have already lost and are playing for pride and to avoid a whitewash keeping in mind the World Test Championship points.
