Mohammed Shami's Felicitation Turns Embarrassing For CAB As Visual With Spelling Blunder Comes Up On Screen

Mohammed Shami's felicitation turned embarrassing for CAB as a spelling mistake came up on screen.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) invited India fast bowler Mohammed Shami for a feliciatation ceremony in Kolkata. Shami, who represents Bengal in domestic cricket, received a special award during the annual award ceremony of the state cricket association. However, in an embarassing moment for CAB, when the fast bowler did come up on the stage to collect the award, more than the handing over the award to Shami it was the spelling blunder on screen that caught everyone's attention.

Shami, who was bestowed the honour for his incredible performance in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 at home where he finished as the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 24 scalps from 7 matches, graciously accepted the award. However, when he was collecting the award, the visual behind him mentioned his name as 'Shamit'.
