In the WF vs LAKR match of the MLC 2024, Sunil Narine-led LAKR batted first and set the total of 130 runs for the Steve Smith-led Washington Freedom. Travis Head’s 32-ball 54 runs knock and Smith’s guiding 42 took Washington home with ease in just 16 overs.

In the TSK vs MINY match, Texas Super Kings posted the total of 176-6 in 20 overs after captain Faf du Plessis’ 61-run knock and Devon Conway’s 40-run knock. Thanks to Zia-ul-Haq’s twp-wicket haul and Marcus Stoinis’ four-wicket haul despite being expensive, TSK managed to restrict MINY to 161-7 in 20 overs, winning the match by 15 runs.
