IND vs AUS: Mitchell Starc Makes Shocking Claim About Yashasvi Jaiswal's 'Slow Bowling' Sledge In Perth

Ahead of IND vs AUS Pink Ball Test in Adelaide Oval, Mitchell Starc has claimed that he did not hear Yashasvi Jaiswal make that remark, despite the exchange being audible to viewers.

During the fiery moments of Border-Gavaskar series opener in Perth, one exchange that stood out was a verbal altercation between Mitchell Starc and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The stumps mic clearly captured Jaiswal sledging the Australian pacer, saying, "You are bowling slow."

However, ahead of IND vs AUS Pink Ball Test in Adelaide Oval, Mitchell Starc has claimed that he did not hear Jaiswal make that remark, despite the exchange being audible to viewers.

Starc further clarified that, at this point in his career, he is able to brush off such comments and continue without letting them affect him.

"I didn't actually hear him say I bowled too slow. I don't say too much to people these days. I may have been back in the day, but now I just sort of get on with it. Played that flick shot and I think I bowled pretty much the same ball, and he defended it. I said where the flick shot is, and he laughed at me, and we just left it at that," Starc said in an interaction with cricket.com.au.

Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck in the first innings of Perth Test, but he made a remarkable comeback, scoring an impressive 161 runs in the second innings.

"He'll play a lot of cricket for India and be highly successful. Certainly, he played really, really well in that second innings. He adapted to conditions through that first Test. We got him cheaply in the first innings and he adapted to that and played a fantastic innings, so full credit to him. He is one of those new crop of fearless young cricketers around the world," Starc concluded.

Jaiswal and Starc will meet again when India and Australia face off in the second Test of IND vs AUS BGT series in Adelaide, a day-night pink ball match, starting on Friday, December 6.
