New Delhi: The Trinbago Knight Riders got off to a flying start in the first game of Carribean Premier League 2017 against St. Lucia Stars with a 9 wickets win.


The Kiwi duo of Brendon McCullum and Colin Munro put up a staggering show as the Knight Riders chased up a total of 133 within 10.4 overs. McCullum scored 58 off just 27 deliveries which included 2 fours and 7 maximums.


Not to be outdone, Munro top-scored with 66 not out off 39 deliveries, with 7 fours and 3 sixes, as the Knight Riders cantered in with 9.2 overs to spare.


Pakistan’s 18 year old right-arm legbreak spinner Shadab Khan also made an impressive CPL debut as he was the pick of the bowlers for the Riders with figures of 2/15 in his 4 overs.


Despite losing an early wicket of Sunil Narine, McCullum and Munro put up a fierce show at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.


The Trinbago Knight Riders is owned by the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise, Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.
