"Love you Hardik", a cricket novice travels to Birmingham to propose Pandya

London: She had little clue about Virat Kohli’s cover drives or MS Dhoni’s helicopters. She had nothing to do with India’s quest to defend the Champions Trophy.  But still young Simona waited for more than three hours just to get a glimpse of one Indian cricketer - Hardik Pandya.

With a flower and chocolate box, Simona waited patiently for her hero to arrive. Coming all the way from Wolverhampton, Simona was accompanied by her friend Sarah, who like her has not seen a cricket match before.

Apart from madness, young Simona had a creative mind also. Her message for Hardik bears testimony to that fact. She had a ‘love you Hardik’ placard and on the chocolate box she had written “Might not be sweeter than you though.”

Like Simona, India also would be expecting that the good wishes pushes the Indian all-rounder to put together a stellar performance when India takes on Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy semi final on Thursday.
