Out with injury for more than two months, India’s reliable middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav has vowed to work hard on his fitness to make a comeback to the Indian setup.

The 33-year-old picked up a hamstring injury during the tournament opener of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians and, was subsequently ruled out of the lucrative event.

"After the surgery I was reluctant to post my updates but now i realise, you all are, my strength & my motivation which keeps me going forward. I am striving & working hard on my fitness to start playing soon," Jadhav wrote on his twitter handle.

Jadhav played a winning knock for Chennai Super Kings against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium, scoring a crucial six and a four, coming in after the dismissal of Dwayne Bravo but, played no part in the remaining fixtures as his side went on the clinch the third IPL title.

The right-arm batter took the YoYo test along with the England bound players on June 15 but did not share the additional details.
