"It’s a second cup. Back-to-back, two in a row. So glad, so happy. Best performance by the team with the bat and the ball. They have been dominating this whole season, and to finally get this through-I mean, it’s unbelievable to be winning it (title) back-to-back. So happy for the guys; everyone put up a great show. Very strong team that we played today, but happy to have the win at the end of the day," Maran said after the victory.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape beat Durban’s Super Giants to lift back-to-back SA20 trophies

Sunrisers Eastern Cape defeated Durban’s Super Giants by a massive margin of 89 runs in the SA20 Final, with Tom Abell (55) emerging as the hero of the match. Batting first, Sunrisers Eastern Cape scored 204 runs.

Chasing 205 for the win, Durban Super Giants got off to a rocky start with three wickets falling quickly, leaving them struggling at 7 runs on the board. There was a glimmer of hope as Mathieu Brijke and Willem Mulder formed a solid 56-run partnership. However, once this partnership was broken, wickets kept falling, making their pursuit of the target increasingly difficult.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape bowler Marco Jansen bagged 5 wickets for 30 runs in his 4 overs. Daniel Worrell and Otniel Bartman contributed by taking 2 wickets each.
