New Delhi: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first in the fifth and final ODI at Colombo.

The game was delayed by half an hour and with forecast of rain throughout the day it was quite a surprise that Tharanga chose to bat first instead of putting the opposition in.

Quite expectedly, Ajinkya Rahane finally gets a game after Shikhar Dhawan had to leave for India to attend his ailing mother.

Rahane was the only player, who did not get a game in the series and that after being the highest scorer of the last series in West Indies.

Apart from Rahane there are three more changes in the Indian playing XI with Kl Rahul, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya making way for Kedar Jadhav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

For Sri Lanka, captain Upul Tharanga returned in place of Kusal Mendis.

Sri Lanka  XI: Niroshan Dickwella(w), Upul Tharanga(c), Dilshan Munaweera, Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews, Milinda Siriwardana, Wanidu Hasaranga, Akila Dananjaya, Malinda Pushpakumara, Vishwa Fernando, Lasith Malinga

India XI: Rohit, Rahane, Kohli(c), Pandey, Jadhav, MS Dhoni(w), Bhuvneshwar, Kuldeep, Bumrah, Chahal, Shardul Thakur
