India were all out for 244 in the first innings of the pink-ball Test against Australia in Adelaide. The visitors ended the opening day with a score of 233 for six, following a collapse triggered by the dismissal of Virat Kohli. The Indian skipper was dismissed for 74 runs off 180 deliveries in an innings comprising of eight boundaries, after a big mix-up with Ajinkya Rahane. The course of the game took a steep turn after skipper Virat Kohli’s run out as India lost three wickets in 18 balls thereafter. The first session in today’s play will be crucial for the tourists as the Indian tail is going to be tested against a lethal Aussie attack. India have a good bowling attack themselves, but they will need to be at their best to keep their team in the game - although it is worth noting they made 250 in their first innings two years ago and went onto win. India won the toss and decided to bat first, but opener Prithvi Shaw (0) was dismissed in the second ball. Mayank Agarwal also could not stay long at the crease. After this, Kohli first attained the much-needed partnership with Pujara, and then he and Rahane and pushed the team to a better position. Australia, on the other hand, handed the debut cap to all-rounder Cameron Green and named Matthew Wade as Joe Burns’ opening partner.
