IND Vs ENG: Ashwin did not get an opportunity in the first two Tests against England. But R Ashwin is set to return to the playing 11 in the third Test.

New Delhi: The third match of the five-match series between India and England is scheduled to be played at Headingley Ground in Leeds. Despite winning the Lord's Test, Team India will make changes to the playing 11 in the match, which begins on August 25. According to reports, world number one spin bowler R Ashwin is all set to play in the Headingley Test.

R Ashwin has not yet got a chance to play in the series against England. India has preferred Ravindra Jadeja over R Ashwin in the first two tests. One of the reasons Jadeja got priority is because of his batting. But Jadeja is not able to contribute to the team in bowling.

Ravindra Jadeja has been a successful batsman so far in the series. Jadeja scored a half-century in the first innings of the first Test while he also managed to play a crucial 40-run innings in the second Test. Ravindra Jadeja, however, has not been able to take a single wicket in four innings of the two Tests against England.

Team India to take on the field with four fast bowlers

Although in Lord's test, team India was considering to get on the field with two spin bowlers. R Ashwin has himself stated that he was asked to be ready for the second Test. But due to rain before the match, India decided to take on the field with four fast bowlers.

In the Lord's Test, all four of India's fast bowlers did well and managed to take 19 wickets out of 20. In the Headingley Test too, team India can give Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Ishant Sharma a chance to be in the playing 11. Besides R Ashwin will also get a place as an all-rounder in the team. Ashwin also recently scored a century in the Test series against England.
