IND vs BAN, 3rd T20I: Rohit Sharma On Verge Of Joining 400 Sixes Club

The stand-in skipper is all set to reach another milestone in international cricket. Rohit is two sixes away from joining the elite 400 sixes club in international cricket

A fiery innings from team India star opener Rohit Sharma propelled team India to eight wicket win vs Bangladesh in the second T20I at Rajkot. During his 43-ball 85-run knock, Rohit smacked 6 fours and 6 monster sixes. The stand-in skipper is all set to reach another milestone in international cricket. Rohit is two sixes away from joining the elite 400 sixes club in international cricket. The 32-year-old Mumbai lad, already holds the record of hitting maximum number of sixes (115) in T20Is. In ODIs, Rohit has hammered 232 sixes. Till now, Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi (476 sixes) and West Indies opener Chris Gayle (534 sixes) are the only two players who have attained the unique milestone in international cricket. Post a superb win in 2nd T20I vs Bangladesh, India will aim for another commanding performance when they take on the Bangla Tigers in the series-deciding third T20I on Sunday. Teams batting first have won eight of the 11 T20Is played at this venue and thus it would be interesting to see what India would do in case they win the toss.
