New Delhi: A day after India beat Australia by 6 wickets to qualify for the semi-finals, there is a bad news coming from their dressing room. All-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who got injured during Sunday night’s win, might be ruled out of the World T20 as his injury is not showing any improvement, according to the sources.

If the team management goes ahead with the plan of dropping Yuvraj,  Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey is the likely replacement.

Pandey impressed everyone with his century knock against Australia in the fifth ODI during Team India’s tour of Australia earlier this year. He also holds the record of being the first Indian batsman to hit a century in the Indian Premier League.

On Sunday, Yuvraj was batting on 5 when he hopped on to the back foot to steer a short-pitched delivery to fine leg. On coming down, he tried to run quickly and twisted his ankle. Though he continued to bat on after the team physio administered him first aid, his struggle in running between the wickets for the remainder of his innings was apparent.

India are set to play West Indies in the semi-final on March 31 in Mumbai.
