ICC CT 2025: The ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Meeting Saga reportedly adds yet another twist, as the event has been postponed to December 1. The initial meeting that took place on November 29, did not derive any strong outcome and was postponed to November 30.
However, as per the reports, the event has now been postoped for yet another day, as suspense around the venue and rift between PCB and BCCI stays intact.
Things have not been good between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as terms have not been agreed between the parties in concern with the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
What Is The Issue With Team India?
Team India have been denied to travel to Pakistan for the ICC event, as BCCI have stated 'security threat' as the major reason. Several talks and conditions have been shared between PCB and BCCI, but both parties have not agreed to a conclusion yet.
BCCI proposed a hybrid model for the scheduling of the tournament, which the PCB, reportedly, declined, and since then, ICC had to intervene in-order to come to a conclusion.
Why Is India's Participation Important?
India is undeniably the biggest attraction in cricket, and draws in majority of the sponsorships. Therefore, no country can afford to miss out on having India as a participating nation for any event, be it a triangular series, or an ICC event.
Is Jay Shah The Key Factor Behind The Postponement?
Jay Shah was elected the new ICC Chairman few months back, and will take over the role starting December 1. What makes this Meeting Saga even more exciting is the fact that both the things will take place on December 1, and with Jay Shah leaving his role as BCCI Chairman, things can get pretty interesting. The final verdict will hopefully be announced tomorrow (Sunday, December 1).
