Gautam Gambhir Posts Kapil Dev Kidnapping Video - Is It Real

Fans even questioned the authenticity of the video where the former all-rounder was spotted getting kidnapped.

In the latest social media series that led to both confusion and disspaointemnet among fans, former India player Gautam Gambhir posted a video of the legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev. The video featured a bizarre scene where two anonymous blokes appeared to have Kapil Dev’s hands tied and his mouth shut with a cloth. While posting a video on a social media platform, Gambhir wrote, “Anyone else received this clip, too? Hope it’s not actually @therealkapildev and that Kapil Paaji is fine!”

Gambhir tried hard to prove that the video was genuine, but fans were not convinced. Seeing the seven-second clip, users were left in doubt. Fans even questioned the authenticity of the video where the former all-rounder was spotted getting kidnapped.

Kapil Dev is one of the greatest all-rounders India has ever produced. His extraordinary career spanned from 1978 to 1994. One of the iconic moments of the Indian team came under Kapil Dev back in 1983 when the team won the first-ever World Cup title. Kapil Dev's terrific leadership skills and his contribution are immense as he continues to be an iconic figure in cricketing history.

Recently, Kapil Dev was spotted in Varanasi to attend an event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event was organised to inaugurate an international cricket stadium in Varanasi. Kapil Dev graced the event with former Indian players like Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, and Sachin Tendulkar.
