From 40/4 To 299/7, Dinesh Karthik's Century Takes TN To Winning Score In Vijay Hazare Trophy Final
Tamil Nadu vs Himachal Pradesh: Dinesh Karthik re-announced himself when Tamil Nadu wanted him the most. Scores a big century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Final.
Vijay Hazare Trophy Final: At the end of 15 overs, the Tamil Nadu side were in deep trouble as their score lingered around 40/4. Dinesh Karthik was at the crease with Baba Indrajith. Karthik and Aparajth surprised one and all by building a solid partnership of 202 runs for the 5th wicket.
Eventually, Dinesh Karthik scored 116 of 103 balls and re-announced himself when Tamil Nadu needed him the most. He stepped up in the final when Himachal looked like taking control of the match. It was due to this big partnership and superb finishing by Shahrukh Khan that Tamil Nadu posted 314 runs in the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Dinesh Karthik was absolutely magnificent with the bat. The veteran took some time to settle down but once he was in, he started playing his shots. Karthik's most memorable shot of the day was a conventional sweep that he played off fast bowler Galetiya's bowling.
Indrajith got out for 80 tuns when Tamil Nadu's score was 242. Then walked in Shahrukh Khan, who smashed 42 runs in 21 balls including three sixes and three fours.

Karthik's heroics came at a time when it looked like Himachal Pradesh was running away with the match. Tamil Nadu has posted 314 runs which is a considerable total.
The Final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy is being played at the Sawai Madhavsingh Stadium in Jaipur. Tamil Nadu faced Karnataka in the quarters while Saurashtra in the semi-final. On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh faced Uttar Pradesh in the quarter-final while Services in the semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
