IPL 2020, MI vs CSK: Ishan Kishan, Bowlers Star As Mumbai Indians Trounce Chennai Super Kings By 10 Wickets At Sharjah
IPL 2020, MI vs CSK match in UAE today: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will now need to win their next three matches and hope that results from the other teams go their way so that they get to qualify for the IPL 2020 playoffs.
Four-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians, without their regular skipper Rohit Sharma in the playing XI, played like a well-oiled machine to defeat already-struggling Chennai Super Kings by 10 wickets on Friday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. MI openers Quinton De Kock and Ishan Kishan stitched a solid 116-run partnership to help their team attain a super win over Chennai inside 13 overs to reclaim top position in the IPL 2020 points table.
MI, under Kieron Pollard's captaincy won the toss and opted to bowl first. Trent Boult was the star for Mumbai Indians with 4 wickets for 18 runs while Jasprit Bumrah, and Rahul Chahar bagged 2 wickets each to restrict their opponents to a paltry 114/9 in their allotted 20 overs. For Chennai, Sam Curran (47-ball 52) starred with the bat as the lone spark in an otherwise very average and disappointing batting performance from the yellow army.

Chasing 115 to win, MI openers Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan played a mix of wonderful strokes to get off to a blazing start to make matters worse for Chennai Super Kings. The yellow army failed to get early wickets they desperately needed and looked like a beaten team.
This is the first time that CSK have lost a match by 10 wickets in 11 IPL tournaments they have compete. The three-time champions remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
de Kock took the team over the line with a four, his fifth of the innings, and also hit two sixes on his way to 46 not out off 47 balls. MI ended their innings on 116 for no loss.

Earlier, defending champions Mumbai Indians once again proved why they are one the favorites to win the 13th edition of the IPL as they ripped a struggling Chennai Super Kings to shreds to restrict them to 114/9.
CSK lost their top four batsmen for just three runs inside the first three overs and later in the game they had lost a total of seven wickets for 52 runs after first ten overs, courtesy fiery spells from Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult. Sam Curran saved CSK's blushes to give bowlers a modest 114-9 to defend.
