Cricket is a sport that has gained massive viewership worldwide, and players now earn a fortune, especially with the rise of franchise leagues. Cricket boards pay hefty amounts to their players, however, the situation isn’t the same in Pakistan, as the players are extremely dissatisfied with what they are paid.

The players are anticipated to discuss compensation increases and seek insurance for themselves and their families during the meeting. According to the article, they would also seek educational plans for their kids and financial share from ICC events. The article states that one of the main topics up for discussion will be the board's approval of No Objection Certificates for participation in other franchise leagues throughout the world.

According to the research, Pakistan pays its athletes far less than other countries. It is also crucial to note that the players' salaries are just USD 5,000, in addition to that the PCB demanded USD 25,000 from each of them in order for them to participate in the Global T20 Canada.

The report suggests that the Pakistani players' contracts terminated on June 30 and they nevertheless flew to Sri Lanka even though they were no longer under contract. Babar Azam's Pakistani squad is performing remarkably well in the Test series against Sri Lanka. They swept the opening match and are presently in the lead in the WTC 2023–25 points standings.
