On February 5, Delhi will witness a high-stakes assembly election, pitting the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with the Congress vying for relevance. Unlike the Lok Sabha elections, where the AAP and the Congress joined forces, this contest will be a three-way battle. While the Congress has struggled in Delhi’s assembly polls since the AAP’s rise, its strong candidates this time could dent the latter’s prospects, indirectly aiding the BJP.
