Big Bash League 2023-24: David Warner To Feature For Sydney Thunder On Friday
David Warner has been named in the Sydney Thunder's squad against Sydney Sixers. Here are the details.
Big Bash League 2023-24: Sydney Thunder will receive a much needed boost to their dismal campaign as Australian legend David Warner returns to the side on Friday, in their Sydney Smash derby (match against Sydney Sixers). The Thunders have a solitary win this campaign and are languishing at the foot of the table alongside Melbourne Renegades, who too, are having a miserable season of their own.

David Warner will reportedly receive another special treatment as he will be arriving in style for the fixture on Friday. The retired Australian opener will land at the Sydney Cricket Ground via helicopter as a sign of respect for his immensely impressive services over the years for both, national, and domestic sides.
Sydney Thunder stand a very bleak chance of qualifying for the knockout stages as they currently sit at 7th in the table and with Melbourne Renegades and Hobart Hurricanes eliminated mathematically, and Adelaide Strikers ending their 9-game losing streak away from home, things will get tougher for them ahead.
They'll play Sydney Sixers on Friday, January 12, and then face Adelaide Strikers in a crunch fixture as any side that ends up on the losing corner will see their run end in the tournament ahead, and will then play Renegades in their final fixture.
