Ben Foakes replaces injured Bairstow in England Test squad

England cricket team veteran wicket-keeper batsman Johnny Bairstow has been ruled out of the one-off T20I against Sri Lanka that concludes the white ball leg of England’s tour. Ben Foakes, 25, is scheduled to arrive in Colombo this weekend and is expected to play in the first of two warm-up games on Tuesday.
It is also suspected that it might be difficult for Bairstow to make a comeback in the squad for the first Test on November 6 after sustaining injury.

Earlier, Foakes was included in the England team for the 2017-18 Ashes series, but did not get the opportunity to showcase is talent. He has not yet been able to debut in any format for England.
Foakes has a great experience of playing first-class cricket. He has scored 4552 runs in 90 first-class matches, with his unbeaten 145 not out being the best. Apart from this, the 25-year-old has played 65 List A and 55 T20 matches.
