‘Australia Ko Australia Me Harayenge’: Pakistan Captain Mohammad Rizwan Lays Out Bold Goal For Team Ahead Of Series Down Under

Pakistan’s new white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, has set a strong goal for the team’s upcoming tour, stating, 'Australia ko Australia me harayenge.'

Mohammad Rizwan, the star Pakistan batter, succeeded teammate Babar Azam as Pakistan’s new white-ball captain. Rizwan’s first captaincy assignment will come as a stern task as Pakistan will tour Australia for a three-match ODI series which will also be followed by a three-match T20I series. Despite Pakistan’s last ODI series win having come 22 years ago in 2002, Rizwan made a bold claim ahead of the Australia tour.

Mohammad Rizwan expressed confidence, acknowledging past difficulties but assuring fans that the current team is prepared to meet the nation’s expectations.

"Isme koi shaq nahi ki hume Australia me difficulty hui hai, kyuki jab aap past ka result dekhenge na toh result hume ye batata hai ki waha hume thoda trouble hua hai magar mere khayal se jo team waha jaa rahi hai qaum humse ummeed rakhe. (There’s no doubt that we’ve faced difficulties in Australia because when you look at the past results, they show that we had some trouble there. But I believe the team going now will meet the nation’s expectations),” Rizwan said.

Rizwan added that during Pakistan’s last series in Australia, each match was nearly within reach, though they narrowly lost each time.

"Last series jab humne Australia mae khele thi toh aisa hi tha ki hum har match jeetne waale the, bilkul close jaa kr hum haare hai. (In the last series we played in Australia, every match was almost ours to win, but we lost very closely), he added.

"Humne kuch chizo ko notice ki hai aur waha jaa kr unpe kaam kare or usme se hum positive le. Inshallah, Australia ko Australia me harayenge." (We have noticed a few things and will work on them when we go there, taking positives from it. Hopefully, we will beat Australia in Australia.) Rizwan continued.
