The delayed Asian Games have finally commenced in in Hangzhou, China. What makes this event, originally slated to happen in 2022 unique is that this edition of the sporting extravaganza includes a cricket competition for both men and women, in the T20 format. In anticipation of this event, images of the cricket stadium located in Hangzhou have become widely popular on various social media platforms, sparking numerous reactions from enthusiastic fans. It's worth mentioning that all cricket matches throughout the event are slated to be held at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou.
While a section of the fans have hinted at the small boundary size, others reckon it will be a record-breaking affair due to the dimensions of the ground. Some also believe that this could be a six-hitting feast for Indian batters like Rinku Singh.

Talking about the women's cricket tournament in Asian Games 2023, the first quarterfinal featuring India Women and Malaysia Women was washed out due to rain. The India Women scored 173/2 in 15 overs and Malaysia made 1/0 in 0.2 overs before rain made no further play possible. India's opponent in their semifinal of the Women's competition is not yet decided with their fixture scheduled on September 24. As far as the men's side is concerned, they have their quarterfinal scheduled on October 3.
