Aakash Chopra Snubbed As Asia Cup 2023 Enlists Star-Studded Commentary Panel

Commentators for Asia Cup 2023: The commentators selected from India include Gautam Gambhir, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar, Irfan Pathan and Deep Dasgupta.

Asia Cup 2023 Commentators List: With only a few days left for the 2023 Asia Cup to begin, a star-studded lineup of commentators for the continental tournament has been announced by the Asia Cricket Council (ACC) and some of the biggest names from India and Pakistan have been included in it. A total of 12 commentators from five countries are set to be part of the official broadcasting panel for 2023 Asia Cup. Interestingly, star commentator and former Indian opener Aakash Chopra, who often grabs limelight with his controversial statements, has been excluded from the commentators panel. His exclusion is quite surprising as the cricketer-turned-commentator, over the last few years, has been one of the key members of the commentary line-up for India.

The commentators selected from India include Gautam Gambhir, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar, Irfan Pathan and Deep Dasgupta. Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Bazid Khan and Rameez Raja will represent Pakistan. Meanwhile, Athar Ali Khan will represent Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2023 co-host Sri Lanka will be represented by Russell Arnold and Scott Styris has been included as neutral commentator.

The six-team tournament, featuring India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan - will be played in ODI format, helping teams prepare for the forthcoming ODI World Cup 2023 in India, starting on October 5 onwards. Asia Cup 2023 will kickstart from August 30 onwards with a match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan.

Asia Cup 2023 commentators: Gautam Gambhir, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar, Irfan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Deep Dasgupta, Ramiz Raja, Athar Ali Khan, Russel Arnold, Scott Styris and Bazid Khan.
