Indian celebrities created a buzz at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. A number of notable figures from the Indian entertainment industry travelled to the French Riviera to participate in the prestigious international film festival. As discussions regarding the red carpet debuts of Sara Ali Khan, Esha Gupta and Manushi Chillar circulated on the internet, cricketer turned coach Anil Kumble also made an appearance at the event. India's cricketing legend was accompanied by his wife.

The former Indian cricketer, took to social media to share a few stunning photographs capturing him and his wife Chetana Kumble's fashionable presence on the red carpet at the film festival's opening ceremony. The couple displayed their impeccable style and were twinning in black outfits for the event. While Kumble donned an exquisite velvet bandhgala jacket designed, his wife chose a saree for the occasion.

Soon after his Cannes debut, Kumble was back in India and was seen as a commentator expressing his views on the IPL 2023 matches. He was also in the studios for the IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 which was played between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI). Kumble had recently also welcomed MI's Akash Madhwal to the 5/5 club after the pacer's performance had helped them beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator.

Kumble is widely regarded as one the biggest match winners of Indian cricket. The ex-India captain donned the Indian whites in 132 Tests and 271 ODIs, scalping 619 and 337 wickets in them respectively. He is the fourth all-time leading wicket taker in Test matches and the highest wicket-taker for the country in both Tests and ODIs.
