No one was able to take the catch as they collided with one another. Even worse, it was a 6 since the ball rebounded off the fielders' hands and onto the other side of the boundary! In the Asia Cup championship match against the victorious Sri Lankan squad, Shadab Khan missed multiple catches. Pakistan lost a lot of runs in the final five overs as a result of the missed catches.
When Shadab dropped the left-handed Rajapaksa off the bowling of Haris Rauf, he was on 46 runs. When Shadab and Asif collided, the ball went over the ropes and gave the batsman a six. He was 51 at the time. Rajapaksa scored an unbeaten 71 off 45 balls to help Sri Lanka reach 170/6 in the end.
