Agni Panchak 2025: In astrology, there are 27 Nakshatras. The sequence begins with Ashwini and ends with Revati. The Moon travels through all of these Nakshatras, and when it passes through the last five—Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada, and Revati—Panchak occurs.

The Panchak period is considered inauspicious. It is believed that any important work done during Panchak can bring sorrow, trouble, and obstacles in life. Therefore, no auspicious or ceremonial tasks should be carried out during these five days. Even purchasing certain items is avoided, as it is thought to invite misfortune.

When Panchak begins on a Tuesday, it is called Agni Panchak. This period is believed to carry a higher risk related to fire and accidents. Starting any construction work, using tools, or beginning tasks involving machinery during Agni Panchak is considered inauspicious, as it may lead to losses or harm.

Avoid These Fire-Related Activities During Agni Panchak

  • No Havan Or Yajna – Agni Panchak signifies an excess of the fire element. Performing rituals involving fire, like havan or yajna, during this time can increase the risk of fire-related accidents.
  • Avoid Buying Flammable Items – Refrain from purchasing flammable substances such as wood, kerosene, petrol, or any fire-related materials, as they may lead to fire hazards.
  • Do Not Travel South – Travelling in the south direction during Panchak is considered inauspicious, as it is associated with Lord Yama, the God of Death.
