The protest is being reported to be the biggest faced by Prime Minsiter Sheikh Haisna, who has put down the demands of scrapping the job quota.

Out of the 56% quota, the majority 30% has been reserved for the families of war-veterans. This has enraged the students who do not fall in the category and they took to streets for demonstrations and sit-ins.
