Temple trust's general secretary, Champat Rai, announced on Monday that a new idol of Ram Lalla, crafted by Mysuru-based Arun Yogiraj, has been chosen for installation at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The "Pran Pratishtha" or consecration ceremony is scheduled for January 22, beginning at 12:20 pm. Rai provided details about the new idol, describing it as a stone sculpture weighing approximately 150-200 kgs, depicting the deity as a five-year-old boy in a standing posture.
