IPL 2021: DC Legend Shikhar Dhawan Becomes First-Ever Batsman In IPL History To Attain 'Elusive Feat'

In the second match of IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets. With this, Delhi started its campaign with a victory. Chennai Super Kings had scored 188 runs in 20 overs at the loss of seven wickets after DC invited them to bat first. Delhi Capitals star opener Shikhar Dhawan made his IPL 2021 debut with a bang. The left-handed batsman scored a brilliant half-century against Chennai on Saturday.  He played a match-winning 54-ball 85 run knock at Wankhede, Mumbai. With this, Dhawan attained many records. (Photo Courtesy: PTI)

Shikhar Dhawan hit 10 fours and two sixes during his innings.  With this, he became the first batsman to hit 600 fours in IPL history. Dhawan has secured joint second position with Virat Kohli in terms of scoring 50-plus runs in an IPL innings.  Both players have scored more than 50-plus runs 44 times in Indian Premier League (IPL).  Sunrisers Hyderabad star player David Warner holds the top spot in this list after scoring 50-plus runs 52 times in IPL.
