PCB names new Pakistan A captain for warm-up game against Australia

The Australian side which bears a lot of new faces will be led by wicket-keeper batsman Tim Paine.

The squad bears a strong look with the presence of experienced players like Usman Salahuddin, Wahab Riaz and Rahat Ali.

Ahead of the Test series, Australia will play a tour game against Pakistan A in the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai.

The four-day match will be played between September 29 and October 2.

The Pakistan A will be led by middle-order batsman Asad Shafiq, who is certain to make it the Test squad for the two-match series later.

Pakistan will play a two-match Test series against Australia in Dubai with the first Test starting on October 7.

A day after Pakistan’s second humiliating defeat to arch-rivals India, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had the tough task of naming a 14-member ‘A’ squad for a first-class game against Australia.
