Cricketers wish India on 71st Independence Day

Explosive India batsman Virender Sehwag thanked the soldiers and freedom fighters for their contribution and appealed every Indian to work toward making India poverty free.

Former India batsman VVS Laxman greeted Indian fans on this auspicious occasion.

Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had a special message; the ‘turbnator’ posted a video to express his love for the country.

Mohammed Kaif wrote, “Proud to b born in this great land.May our flag always keep flying high.Tributes to all who made our freedom possible.”

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, who is an avid twitterati was among the first Indian cricketer to send his wishes.

Having registered historic win against Sri Lanka on Monday, Indian off-spinner R Ashwin had special message to all Indians.
