Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who emerged as a messiah for the migrant workers during last year’s Covid-19 lockdown, turned a year older on Friday (July 30). The ‘Simmba’ star received a surprise from his fans, who gathered outside his house to celebrate his birthday.

A boy was seen drawing Sonu Sood's painting using his tongue. Yes, you read that right!

Fans brought birthday cakes for their favorite star, who provided assistance to several people amid the COVID-19 crisis. He was seen cutting two customised birthday cakes during the celebrations.

Sonu Sood, who is actively using social media platforms to help the needy, was spotted with a bouquet in his hand.

Several fans thronged outside Sonu Sood's house to catch a glimpse of the actor and celebrate his birthday.

The fans presented Sonu Sood with mementos and shawl to laud him for his humanitarian work.

Social distancing went for a toss during the birthday celebrations as some fans didn’t follow the COVID-19 rules and failed to maintain a safe distance of six feet.

Although the Maharashtra government has lifted restrictions in few districts, the COVID-19 crisis is yet not over.

Some of the fans didn't adhere to the COVID-19 protocols and didn't maintain social distancing while celebrating Sonu Sood's birthday.
