'Hauntingly Beautiful': Watch Woman Pianist Play ‘What A Wonderful World’ Outside Ukraine Railway Station
The viral video shows a pianist outside the Lviv railway station in western Ukraine playing Louis Armstrong's famous song, 'What a Wonderful World'.
New Delhi: The video of a woman artiste playing the piano outside a railway station in Ukraine, which is in the middle of an armed invasion by Russia, is being widely shared on social media.
With Ukraine under Russian invasion since February 24, thousands of people are fleeing the country, mainly to neighbouring European countries, and the railway stations have become a transit point for them.
The viral video, shared from the verified Twitter handle of senior Reuters correspondent Andrew RC Marshall, shows an unidentified pianist outside the Lviv railway station in western Ukraine playing Louis Armstrong's famous song, “What a Wonderful World”.

Armstrong had written the song in 1968, during the time of the Vietnam War. Set to a jazz tune, ‘What a Wonderful World’ meant to bring hope to the millions of people suffering the ills of the war.
Playing of the tune in Ukraine, at a time the coutry is being ravaged by a war, evoked a lot of emotions as people responded to the video with heartwarming messages.
“Who is she? She is UKRAINE. She fills my eyes with tears, she is the hope and fears. A beautiful inspiring pianist too. She has my heart,” posted one user.

The tweet had shared more than 28,000 shares and over 1 lakh likes at the time of writing this report.
More than 1.5 million refugees from Ukraine were reported to have crossed into neighbouring countries in the first 10 days of the invasion, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, said on Sunday. He warned that the situation would only get worse, and said the Russian offensive has triggered the fasting-growing refugee crisis in Europe since the World War II.
