Russia Ukraine Crisis HIGHLIGHTS: Amidst the crisis between Russia and Ukraine worsening, the World Economic Forum (WEF) said on Wednesday that it was freezing all relations with Russian entities and would not allow anyone on the sanctions list to attend the high profile annual meeting.
The WEF announcement comes on the backdrop of Russian aggression in Ukraine that has led to the displacement of nearly 2.2 million people.

Meanwhile, Russia on Wednesday said that it was not trying to overthrow the regime of Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine, AFP reported. Russia also said that negotiations with Ukrainian officials to resolve the conflict were making headway.
During a press briefing on Wednesday on the three rounds of talks with Kyiv, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, "Some progress has been made".
The development comes after President Zelensky said he was no longer pressing for NATO membership for Ukraine, a delicate issue that was one of Russia's stated reasons for invading its pro-Western neighbour.
In another remark aimed at placating Moscow, Zelensky said he was open to "compromise" on the status of two breakaway pro-Russian territories that President Vladimir Putin recognised as independent just before invading Ukraine on February 24.
After agreeing to a ceasefire for two consecutive days, now Russia and Ukraine have agreed on day-long evacuation corridors.
According to news agency AFP, both countries have agreed on providing humanitarian corridors for an entire day. This comes after at least 10 people were killed in a Russian military attack in the eastern Ukrainian town of Severodonestk.
On the other hand, Ukraine's youngest Member of Parliament, Sviatoslav Yurash, lauded India for the humanitarian steps undertaken to assist those affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Sviatoslav Yurash also said India must reconsider its strategic partnership with Russia and punish the country for the "misdeeds" of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
