Joe Biden Elected As The 46Th President Of America As Four Day Battle Ends After Pennsylvania Results
With the counting still in progress, the President-elect has secured, 50.6% of the votes tallying around 7,48,47,963 votes while trump is trailing 47.7% secured 7,05,91,853 votes. The big breakthrough came around 9 am Friday EST when Biden broke into the lead in Pennsylvania and initially overtook Trump by about 5,000 votes. Since then, that lead is only growing as votes continue to be counted.
Democratic nominee for the 2020 US Presidential Elections Joe Biden has formally defeated President Donald Trump. The newly elected President secured 284, 14 more than the required magical number of 270. The victory sealed after the Democrat claimed several key battleground states won by the Republican incumbent in 2016. Biden, who also served as the Vice President of the country, won the elections in his third attempt. With Biden becoming the President-elect, Kamala Harris also becomes the vice president-elect of the country, making her the first Indian-American woman to become the second in command of the US.

In Key battleground states of Michigan, the democrat secured a popular vote of 50.6 per cent while the current President stands with 47.9per cent of votes , the Presidents-elect in Arizona is leading with 49.6 per cent with a neck to neck margin with Trump as he stands at 48.9 per cent, standing forward in Wisconsin at 49.6 per cent in the edge to edge battle at 48.9 per cent. Meanwhile in Nevada Biden secured 49.6 per cent while trump got just 47.9 per cent, in New Hampshire the gap widens with 52.8 per cent for Biden and just 45.6 per cent for Trump, and finally in Pennsylvania, from which Biden emerged the winner, Biden secured 49.7 per cent of the votes while Trump lost with just a margin of 49.2 per cent.
Biden’s victory capped one of the longest and most tumultuous campaigns in modern history, in which he maintained an aggressive focus on Trump’s widely criticized handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. A majority of voters said rising coronavirus cases were a significant factor in their vote, according to early results from the NBC News Exit Poll of early and Election Day voters.

With over six terms in the Senate, Biden rose in the ranks to chair the Senate's Judiciary and Foreign Relations committees, developing broad expertise in global affairs and presiding over contentious Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
Meanwhile, those positions gave him gravitas, he still lives with the consequences of some of his decisions, like sponsoring the 1994 Crime Bill and allowing sexual harassment accuser Anita Hill to be grilled by an all-male committee during Clarence Thomas' Supreme Court process.
With a penchant for speaking his mind, Biden developed a reputation for a plainspoken, unpredictable approach to politics. Although it frequently got him in trouble in the press, some Democrats suggested his freewheeling style was uniquely suited for this year's presidential campaign against Trump.
