Viral Sach: Was Amravati bodybuilder Naveed's murder religiously motivated?

NEW DELHI: A Pakistani channel in a malicious report shared the news and video of the murder of Amravati body builder Naveed Pathan and claimed the killing was religiously motivated. Metro News went on to say that people linked to the BJP and the RSS were involved in the "brutal murder" of Naveed Pathan in Maharashtra. The channel in its propaganda 'report' against India declared the country to be an 'extremist nation'. To instigate feelings of hatred and religious animosity among peaceful Indians, the Pakistani media has resorted to spreading falsehood. The video clip aired by the channel has gone viral across social media platform. However, the fact is that Naveed Pathan, who had won several bodybuilding contests, was murdered over a gym-related dispute. His killing was not religiously motivated, as claimed by the fake Pakistani media report. He was allegedly murdered by his friend Raheem Pathan. Both Raheem and Naveed wanted to start a gym, which later became the matter of dispute between the two. On July 18, Raheem with help of others attacked Naveed with knives and swords. Maharashtra police had arrested the assailants within 72 hours. We request you to beware of such malicious reports of Pakistani media.
